Questions About the Bob Beck Device

Questions About the Bob Beck Device – My Experience Since 2008

I get quite a few questions about the Bob Beck device, especially the frequency and other specs. I’ve been building these since 2008 – at first just for my hypnotherapy clients, friends, and people I knew.

From what I’ve seen, the biggest hassle has always been the PCB (Printed Circuit Board). If you make it yourself, it’s a lot of work – from drawing the board to etching it in acid.

The solution? Easy – just let the pros make the board. You used to have to order 100 at a time, but these days, they’ll probably do 2 or 3 no problem.

Power – Why Just One Battery?

What bugged me in Bob’s original design were the three 9V batteries. They give you 27V, which is pretty much the minimum for current to pass through the skin – otherwise it just stays on the surface. But three batteries make the box bigger and clunkier – not exactly pocket-friendly.

So, I looked around and found a better way: a voltage booster. From a single 9V battery I can get up to 33V – more than enough. Voltage boosters are a standard solution in electronics when you need more voltage than what the battery gives. So yeah, my version runs on just one battery.

About the Frequency

Another thing people ask about a lot is the frequency.

Bob wanted to set it – at least in theory – at 3.92 Hz, half of the Schumann resonance. That’s fine on paper, but in practice? Not so easy. You can only get a fixed frequency like that in lab conditions, with high-end components and temperature control.

In real life, the frequency floats somewhere between 3.8 and 4 Hz. It depends on component quality, temperature, and so on. Just holding the box in your hand warms it up and changes the frequency slightly. But no worries – that’s totally normal.

Despite what you read online, Bob didn’t pick the frequency for some kind of magical healing reason. The only reason was to avoid electrolysis in the blood.

So if you’re looking for a frequency therapy device, the Bob Beck device isn’t it. Check out Hulda Clark or Raymond Rife instead.

But here’s the thing: the signal is a square wave, which means it already contains a bunch of harmonics – basically a ton of different frequencies inside it.

What’s the Knob For?

That’s a potentiometer – it controls how much current flows through the electrodes. The more you turn it up, the stronger the current you’ll feel on your wrist.

In theory, the current should be between 50 and 100 microamps. But in practice, it depends on your skin resistance and how salty your soaked cotton pads are.

The best way to set it? Turn the knob slowly until you clearly feel the pulses, but they’re still comfortable. No need to crank it up too much.

Quick Recap – My Build

  • Based on Bob’s original circuit from the ‘90s

  • I added a voltage booster, so only one 9V battery is needed

  • Frequency: 3.8 to 4 Hz (I measure each one before shipping)

  • Signal: Square wave

  • Current: 50–100 μA, depending on skin and setup

How I Use It (Not Medical Advice – Just My Experience)

I started using the device because my hypnotherapy clients kept bringing germs in during winter, and I was always catching colds. I tried the Hulda Clark zapper, but it wasn’t enough for me. After more research, I came across Bob Beck’s protocol and built the device myself.

I’ve been using it regularly for 16–17 years, and honestly? I don’t get colds anymore. I’m over 60 now, and I feel good.

How I Use It (My Routine):

  • Start with 30 minutes daily for 3–4 weeks

  • Take a break if needed, depending on how your body reacts

  • Then go for 1 hour daily for a few weeks

  • After that, 2 hours daily for about 3 weeks

Once a year, I do the 2-hour routine for 3 weeks – that’s my full cycle.

Heads-up: using the device stirs up a lot of dead microbes in your system. If your body’s already weak, it can be a bit much at first. That’s why it’s smart to go slow and build up.

Bob put together a solid lecture, which you can download from my site. It’s a great place to start if you want to learn more.

Wishing you good health,

P.S. A friend of mine has built a high-end colloidal silver generator – I’ll be sharing more about it on my site soon.
